Can anyone explain why the Sports Saver Bundle in Ireland (which includes both Sky Sports and TNT Sports for around £23 per month) is actually cheaper than the UK 12-Month Saver deal (which only includes Sky Sports at £28 per month)?
It seems odd, especially given that Ireland has a higher GDP per capita than the UK. Is this just down to market differences, licensing, or something else?

The main driver (in terms of revenue and cost) of sport on TV is football. Can only assume that the demand for (primarily English) footy in Eire isn't sufficient for Sky to have subs at their UK level.
Even so, that is cheap. My TNT Sports + Premier Sports subs (for watching rugby union) come to more than that.0 -
Ireland (outside of Northern Ireland) is effectively a separate market with different rights.TNT Sports isn't available through discovery+ in the Republic of Ireland, so presumably there's a legacy agreement for Now to bolt it in in that region:
