Not informing an employer of change of address?

What’s the problem with them having your address, honestly sounds dodgy that you don’t want them to have it.I know someone who owes their life to their employer having their address, they didn’t turn up for work and their line manager tried to phone a few times with no answer and knowing that was unusual and that they lived alone, the line manager got her address from HR and went to her house for a welfare check.Ended up having to call emergency services to break in and get them to hospital.I also know another occasion where a member of staff was found dead following a welfare check cos they hadn’t arrived at work. God knows how long she would have been lying if employer did not have address.2
