Does anyone know if Halifax has announced any plans to remove the free fee element of spending abroad (goods purchases) using the clarity credit card? it's no longer listed on many websites that list fee free credit cards abroad

Wrong board, this should be in credit cards.

No, no plans to change it (that we have seen). I imagine the reason it as not as widely publicised as it once was is that it is no longer an outstanding deal - Barclaycard and Virgin Money offer similar products which also offer a small amount of cashback.

I still like it and use it regularly. I have a legacy cashback Barclaycard, which gives 0.5% on spend in the UK, and as you are only allowed one Barclaycard I wouldn't apply for their travel one.

I haven't heard of any intent to withdraw the fee-free foreign transactions on Clarity.
