Appreciate you haven't looked back, but they have been allowing adding unlimited linked cards on the free tier for many months now.

(There are other issues now though- like new cards being issued as credit rather than debit, which ruins a lot of the whole initial value prop).

It did strike me as odd that they removed what was really the main purpose of the card.
