Morning all, it's another hot day but very windy. I have had about 3hrs sleep so today will be a quiet day. I'm feeling the after effects of yesterday and can hardly lift my arms so it will be a day of sloth.
Yesterday I was crawling around in one of Dad's under-the -eaves cupboards, he's got an Aladdin's cave in there and I dread to think what we will do with it all when he's no longer with us. I didn't find any double bedding in there, only king sized but he still has one more large cupboard to check plus a 6 door built in wardrobe packed to the gunnels with stuff. I did bin a broken kettle, the legs from a trolley table ( the trays are missing ) and a few other bits and bobs but he wouldn't part with anything else, even my Mam's old hospital boot from when she broke her ankle and shattered her heel went back in and she's been gone almost 12 years.
5 brand new rolls of xmas wrapping paper @18p each and a large plastic crate came home with me, I'll use the crate over the van to replace a broken one. I did find him 36 toilet rolls and 20 kitchen rolls that he'd forgotten about and I found my old dolls house which is over 70 years old now as it belonged to my cousin before me and she's in her 80's.
taff I miss your energetic and witty posting already, please look after yourself and OH.
WL glad you're feeling better.
Have a good Saturday, loving all the pics.

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
I’m late today I dragged hubby out this morning we have passes for the castle and a couple of museums near us and we never use them so we have been to the mining art museum as it has a display of art on of the railways to do with the rail celebrations it was very good then I dragged him in for a cuppa and a toasted tea cake he enjoyed it and he is now back in his favourite position watching the football on the box . I had a nice surprise yesterday I had picked a team on a football card my friend was doing to help raise funds for her sons football team and I won forty pounds I have never won anything in my life I’m still in shock. Coxy I can highly recommend volunteering I have had lots of jobs over the years sometimes running myself ragged doing two and three at a time but when I retired it hit me hard I couldn’t have continued with the job I was doing as it was so heavy but I love the charity shop I didn’t know anyone when I went up to ask about it but I have made some lovely friends and you can do as much or as little as you want I just sort through the donations and price them we have a cuppa and there’s always some biscuits going and we have a good laugh. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10
