It’s official …

I am now an octopus customer ….

this post is to thank each and every one of you who took time out of your day to help me since this saga began in march this year

as you all know , it’s been a trial to get to hear , I’ve shed a few tears , been full of anxiety and overwhelmed trying to get to this point 

I could not have got through this without you all …thank you do much j, I really do appreciate all of your help 

think we need a virtual group hug and raise a glass to the end of it 😀😀😀

    I’m on E7 at the minute , I can change to snug anytime from now thou ,

     you can’t actually sign up to snug , it’s for existing  customers only

    Yes, Octopus like to check that they can communicate with your smart meter before they'll let you choose a smart tariff. A step that some other suppliers skip, causing problems later ...

    I was going to say but forgot, you should have got most of your credit out of the EDF account before switching and then cancelled the DD - there are all kinds of weird billing issues in the system and they may make the credit into a debit by the time they have finished... but may be ok. 

    BG, Scottish Power and now EDF are on my list of companies to avoid. Octopus so far are good with exc phone c/s.

    Also there are grants for electric only homes to switch to heat pumps and solar but not being one such I have not looked into the details, even for those not on benefits.

    Edf gave issued my final bill  today so all should be ok on getting my refund , I will make sure this happens asap , thank you though

    Good luck with Octopus Rosie. I've read your threads with interest even though RTS, E10, E7 etc are something I've never had to deal with. Hopefully within all the posts there is at least some information that other people can find useful, as you say, you feel for the less tech savvy elderly people who may struggle to get a 'good' fix for their electric set-up.
