All send to be working ok up to now and the meter is communicating
I actually feel ok for the 1st time in a long time that all is going to be ok
edf owe me £850 so I’m well set up for the colder months , even if I have to use additional heating I am not worried about it anymore
I feel like a huge weight has been lifting
I just hope all the others who were like me can get to the same point , I do worry for their older customers who are not savvy in dealing with such poor customer service and have been put on tariffs that won’t be suitable for them6 -
I was going to say but forgot, you should have got most of your credit out of the EDF account before switching and then cancelled the DD - there are all kinds of weird billing issues in the system and they may make the credit into a debit by the time they have finished... but may be ok.
BG, Scottish Power and now EDF are on my list of companies to avoid. Octopus so far are good with exc phone c/s.
Also there are grants for electric only homes to switch to heat pumps and solar but not being one such I have not looked into the details, even for those not on benefits.1 -

Good luck with Octopus Rosie. I've read your threads with interest even though RTS, E10, E7 etc are something I've never had to deal with. Hopefully within all the posts there is at least some information that other people can find useful, as you say, you feel for the less tech savvy elderly people who may struggle to get a 'good' fix for their electric set-up.1
