EDF TARIFFS / SEPT 2025

Hello,

Anybody with EDF.. have you decided your next tariff?

I am on the Essentials Fixed 1Yr Sept25. I can’t decide whether to select the ‘Simply Tracker’ Sept 26 (£50 disc off standing charges) (prices rise and fall in line with Ofgem’s price cap)

OR

opt for the ‘Simply Fixed’ with rates and standing charges for the duration locked in?

What’s the forecast from Ofgem, will fuel prices continue to rise pls?

Appreciate your input.

EDF have their own price prediction page, find via G.

The Change Tariff page is very clear as to costs and shows anticipated savings. if any.

As an existing customer you can switch via Topcashback on certain tariffs, I've done so twice and snaffled £110.
  • Ayr_Rage,

Thank you, I will look at EDF page, I’m not familiar with Topcashback is that easy to set up pls?

Topcashback is very easy to set up, just sign up and before you shop for ANYTHING see if cashback is available via that site.

You can even get cashback for shopping on ebay!

Just make sure you have cookies enabled and click through from the TCB page to the retailer.

Have a look here, always log in to TCB first,

    https://www.topcashback.co.uk/gettingstarted/

Personally, I always use a laptop and Chrome, I find it easier to keep track with multiple windows open than using apps on a mobile device.

Once the retailer site opens (in a new window) go back to the TCB window which will still be open and check that the visit has been recorded and then continue shopping with the retailer, I only close any windows when the purchase is made.

It's a good idea to screenshot or "print to pdf" any information you may need to refer to.

Another piece of advice, do your research first before going to the retailer via TCB.

Treat TCB as a bonus, cashback is never guaranteed but most does track and payout eventually.

I would also advise clearing all your cookies before using Topcashback just to help the tracking process.

I use Chrome for my general browsing and Firefox just for Topcashback and Quidco. That way I can delete all my cookies and site data on Firefox whenever I want to do some shopping but it doesn't affect the cookies on Chrome that I prefer to keep for other sites.
