Another parking ticket at LNER Grantham Station

As a newbie I am unable to attach a redacted copy of the letter which I am referring to below. I have received a letter from FAAC Mobility Services in Basingstoke advising me that the driver of my vehicle is liable for a parking charge of £60. I have incurred a parking charge issued on private land when I went to collect my son from LNER Grantham, Station Road. In the letter of 4 August, there are no pictures of the car in any parking bay on the 31 July, but a photo of my car entering the site and another one showing it leaving the site after 58 minutes. The second one is not partcularly clear because it was 21:09 and dusk was abut 15 minutes later. The car was parked in a no-charge parking bay beyond the station. My contravention is "Parked without a payment of the tariff" and there are no signs advising about a payment in the area the car went to. I live several hours away from the station and cannot go back to look for the signage.
In the letter, FAAC refer to themselves as "the creditor". Is the letter a valid demand to make payment of £100, reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days? Or can I safely choose to ignore it because I am "now invited to pay" and so it is simply an invoice requesting payment?

You can choose to ignore it. They can then take you to court for £100 + court costs. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Others will advise on the technicalities and legalities but as an occasional parker at Grantham station there are three car parks which are all pay and have large signs all around plus some clearly marked private spaces. The only free drop-off / pick-up point is a handful of time-limited spaces to the right of the main station entrance.
When you say you were photographed entering and leaving 'the site' do you mean the station complex rather than one of the car parks? If you didn't use one of the car parks and parked in a bay off the road it was likely a private space if you didn't use the drop-off / pick-up point or you exceeded the time in the latter (which I can't recall the limit) but you say you parked 'beyond the station' and the free zone is right next door.0 -
Use Grantham quite a bit and never had any issue. All the long stay car parks are marked and you pay on exit at the machine which calculates your length of stay. Was this one of the car parks you used?0

Google maps street view can often be useful to revisit places that are too far away to easily do in person.Have you tried this to double check where you parked at all?0

I'm surprised nobody has suggested that this thread should be moved to the dedicated parking ticket board for best advice...0
