Two vehicles / two policies

I have my own car policy with no named drivers and I am the administrator on a separate policy for my husband’s van (different insurer), for which there is currently a claim going through for a minor accident for one of the named drivers.
Do I need to declare this for my car policy renewal? Could it affect my car policy NCD / policy renewal cost?
thanks!

Thanks. Yes, I am the policy holder for the van as well as my own car. Does this make a difference? It was just easier for me to arrange it than for my husband to do it, I hope this doesn’t mean it comes back to bite me. I have also just had a semi-fail on a home contents claim!0

If you are the policy holder for the van then you'll have to declare it on your own car insurance renewal, as it's a claim on your policy. It won't affect your no claims discount as that applies to the policy, not the individual, but it might have an impact on your premium nonetheless.1

If the driver is on both policies then you need to declare it on both under their name, assuming the driver isnt on the second policy it then gets declared under your name as the policyholder who made the claim.
