Flight booking - dumb question?!

OK, this may be a daft question but here goes.

I'm looking to book a flight to CDG (paris) through Air France. On the booking page it asks for last name and first name, but it then gives you the warning:

Please ensure that the name entered is identical to the name on the passport. Once your booking is completed, it will not be possible to amend the name on your booking.

Does this mean you don't have to put your middle name on cos sometimes when I fill out forms middle names are classed as "first names"
I'm getting panicky! Can't you tell I've never booked flights before!:eek:

Middle names are never classed as first names. All you need to put on the booking are your christian and surname.

Not a daft question at all. As many of us have found to our cost if you don't get these things right, airlines are not at all sympathetic to mistakes.

To be sure you get it right have the passport in front of you when you make the booking, make sure the name on the booking matches the passport.

I also have a middle name that i have never had to use on a booking.

Before you confirm payment for your booking check it over make sure all the detail is correct as any change made later will be expensive.
