Research which uk banks support garmin pay.  Last time I checked it wasn’t many.   I’ve linked my Santander account.
Lloyds wouldn't let me add my CC to my watch last time I tried

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

"Any suggestions for emergency money that isn’t cash, doesn’t have full access to my bank account and won’t be a detrimental to my credit score."
Why not open a Starling or Chase account online and retain a small balance of cash to your preferred amount ?
Keep the physical card handy in case you can't use the electronic version on your 'phone.
I don't get the "access to my bank account" or detrimental to my credit score" observations - our Starling card is not directly connected to any other bank account - and the modest amounts on balance won't have any effect on credit ratings.

    Thanks MyRealNameToo,
I only use the money to tide me over for the day usually. I am usually out on the spur of the moment hiking, visiting places or taking photographs. If I find I’ve forgotten to pick-up my phone (bank card on phone) and I am many miles from home, I don’t want to have to turn round and pick it up. I just need enough for drinks and food for the day.
The money at home is just to replace the emergency money that I used.
I think I’ve heard about loading travel credit cards or children’s credit cards that you can add money to. If they exist then maybe I could use something like that?
So if you are forgetting your phone/bank card. How are you going to remember any other form of card.

Best bet keep a wallet, with card & money in, in trousers pocket (you do wear these when going out?) & your problem is solved 🤷‍♀️

By having them in the same places as the emergency cash? AmEx for example allows you any number of cards issued in your own name, they're really intended for dividing up bills easily or if you have a Centurion card but want to be seen with a Gold or Green card to not draw attention but in principle they could live there untouched for a couple of years until the card expires and needs replacing.

AmEx isnt accepted everywhere so may not be the best option, Starling allows you to have two physical debit cards plus a number of virtual ones so could at least be placed in the two mentioned bags in a similar way.

Seems a major risk of a 3rd party finding one of the many cards.
When a simple answer to to make sure before you leave to check you have what you need..

Makes you wonder how many mobile phones OP has if they keep leaving it at home 🤷‍♀️

If their camera bag is like mine, the risk of a third party is that they take the whole bag with the cameras, would outweigh the loss of a card without its pin... in fact disabling contactless payments on the cards would be a sensible precaution but that further reduces the risk -v- loss of cameras
