Barclaycard Reward Foreign usage: Are fees just hidden in their Visa conversion rate?

That sounds about right - I vaguely recall quite a few punters being confused, me included.

I had to call Barclaycard to get clarity and they confirmed that the Rewards card was fee free abroad.

It's a vague reference (to a charge) that's sprinkled all over their website, app and literature.
I've got the card and even I was confused if I'd been sent the wrong card for a while.
Just Barclays being sloppy plus it makes it easier not to highlight the lack of those charges on a single product.
