Shell garage Gatwick north ECP PCN

I’ve read the newbie sticky and appealed to eurocarparks with the one size fits all template however could not copy and paste all of it in. I have tried to email and call store manager who was not a very helpful guy nor was the webchat service wouldn’t even give their name and insisted their name was in the chat. They gave me finally after insisting they have a contract with a eurocarparks and that I’d have to take it up with them directly an email for shell general enquiries.
Can anyone point me or post a link on what to say to them to nip this in the bud. I was not driving at the time and the driver went in to get food, they did not see the signs that stated 15 mins and stayed for an hour and ten minutes it says on this PCN. I’ve been searching for things to say to them since last night! Just been approved to post now. Please guys help! Or point in a similar case with shell garages? Store manager Absolutley awful guy

You cannot "nip it in the bud" it is a scammers invoice they want these things to happen that's the only way they make money. The "picture" you have is from an ANPR camera that catches the VRN nothing else, there should be two shots one entering one leaving which calculates time on site. There is very little to say to them as they won't take any notice, but in essence you have an invoice sent to the keeper for breach of the terms and conditions. If the driver didn't see the signs that might suggest they were not prominent, or sufficient, was it at night were they illuminated? The next step if when they reject your appeal is POPLA which is a bit of a kangaroo court as well. You don't need a specific copy example from a Shell garage, the procedure is basically the same as all.Did the NTK arrive within the timescales?I believe this site may even be on Airport property so would be covered by airport bylaws and a private parking company cannot issue parking invoices on non relevant land, but of course they will try it on.2

Maybe try a complaint to MFG and see if this is one of their sites?

I say that due to remembering this successful complaint about a BP Garage:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81415740/#Comment_81415740The OP say they went "straight to the top management with my case details and a complaint about his staff to the CEO William Bannister"

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Would it be too late to complain to MFG.Of course not. Did you read the linked thread by that person? This should have been the very first step for you. NEVER rush to try the farce of 'appeal'. And never look for a template for a complaint. That's a bad idea which immediately devalues any complaint if retailers and Chief Execs have seen it before, word for word.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Parking in that filling station for 70 minutes does appear to be taking the p*** somewhat, so it's no wonder that the staff/manager there would not be helpful. Nor is the OP likely to get any change from MFG, unless there are really good mitigating reasons for being there so long. No, they don't like the filling station being used for free drop-off and pick-up, but if you stick to the 15 minutes, you're all good.
OP is going to have to stick to the normal process for not paying, all the way to court if necessary.3
