PCN Claim Form - Civil Enforcement Ltd - PCN Date 14/09/2023

Hi All
,
I received a claim form in relation to an unpaid PCN I received from a (free) car park at a local pub, where I did not enter my VRN details to the tablet provided as I did not see the sign.
I then ignored the private company PCN letters as I normally do and received months of 'final warnings', which stopped for a few months but I have now received a claim form from my local court & the claimant (Civil Enforcement Ltd). I visited the pub with a friend and submitted the screenshot of their bank statement showing that drinks were purchased on the premises on the date specified in the PCN, however the claimant has deemed this as insufficient evidence.
I have acknowledged the claim via the MCOL portal and submitted my defence via the website. Can anyone let me know what I am likely to have to undertake as next steps? I'm only 22 so a CCJ would be a big blot on my otherwise clean credit file, and I am looking to get a mortgage over the next 18-24 months.
Feeling slightly harassed at this point, especially considering I responded to the initial PCN with evidence that it is unjust in a timely manner. The parking 'infringement' occurred on 14/09/2023, with my evidence being submitted and rejected on 27/10/2023 (first notice of PCN received 24/10/2023). Today (14/08/25) was the first time I managed to speak with someone from CE Ltd on the phone, as the number they list on the court claim form is different to the numbers I could find online when trying to resolve initially, and the gentleman I spoke with essentially said at this point it's going to court so you may as well pay it. I refused and hung up, took the steps outlined above and now I am here - Any help would be majorly appreciated!!!

You only get a CCJ...... IF ( and it's a big IF ).
1. It ever gets to court ( they'll probably discontinue )
2. You lose ( if it did go to court you've got a very good case )
3. You then fail to pay the court order amount ( couple of hundred quid tops ) within 28 days.4 -
Just keep following the 8 steps in the defence template thread at the top of the forum
No chance of a CCJ if you follow the steps and process, as explained above by DE_6121833 -

Copy and adapt the CEL Costco one from recent days. Search the forum. It has the extra wording you need for a CEL case. Does the claim only state the name of the pub, yet no town? That's CEL's latest error.
Please show us the POC, with your VRM redacted.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
