ES Parking Enforcement LTD PCN

I've read the 'newbie' guidance on the parking tickets, fines and parking thread; however, there are few concerns about a recent PCN. I would appreciate any guidance about appeals; here are some details:
Initially an email was received from a car hire company (29th July 2025) that they had been notified of a PCN in one of their hire cars; they explained they would be informing ES Parking Enforcement that I was hirer of the car at that time (an admin cost of £35 to do so).
A PCN was received in the post (13th August) date on the PCN is 2nd August. It details the hire car and vehicle registration and explains that unauthorised parking (ANPR) on 10th July 2025 at land covered by ES Parking Enforcements LTD. £100 fine or £60 for early repayment.
I was attending a meeting at the premises (I regularly attend meetings here) with the local authority; there is a Ipad at the reception desk where you log that you are parked on the land outside - this entitles your car to be parked on the land while on the premises. I believe I put in the wrong registration number into the Ipad at the reception desk. There will be evidence that I was there to attend to a meeting. I have never had a problem parking here in the past.
Please could anyone advise on the best way to word the appeal - I would be very grateful.

See the bottom section of the first post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements by coupon mad, especially the advice given by Edna Basher
As long as you appeal as hirer ( no blabbing about who was driving or about what happened ) , and as long as you have not revealed who was driving, then my bet is that the Notice to Hirer letter doesn't comply with Pofa 2012, so no keeper liability
Study the following case too

Thank you. I have looked at the templates suggested by Edna in the Newbies thread - not sure which template is most pertinent to this PCN – what are your thoughts? Sorry to ask more questions, but it's the first time ever I have dealt with a PCN – I appreciate finding this thread!
This alleged PCN for unauthorised parking is dated as 10th July; the letter (posted in my name) did not arrive until 13th August. The letter has a date of sending of 2nd August – is this time scale important to an appeal? An email was sent by the hire company to me notifying me they had received the PCN (29th July) and would inform ES who the hirer was.
Would you advise I reply on the appeals portal as follows:
You cannot hold me liable as hirer because your notice does not satisfy the statutory conditions for hirer liability
Or
Explain that the hirer may have recorded the VR incorrectly on the tablet at the reception desk?

Timescales, wordings and inclusions are important and described in the special section in Pofa2012
Its important to check for Pofa2012 non compliance and use it as the appeal as hirer, no hirer liability
Its important to not disclose who was driving , people have to resist the urge to explain themselves
Its important to not discuss the circumstances or explain yourself
So the first appeal, suitably fleshed out, not the circumstances appeal at the bottom of your post
I would have thought that you would adapt the following Edna Basher linked post below, changing the incorrect details to suit your case
