SIM only insurance

Hey 👋
My son's iPhone contract with EE is ready for an upgrade. Looking for SIM only to save a bit He does have insurance included but we've been told we can't continue with insurance with a SIM only.
My son is accident prone (ASD) and claimed twice in about 4 years. So we want to have insurance.
Insurance with a different company, is it easy to get phone fixed/replaced? With EE, it's been quite straightforward.
We've been paying approximately £14 p/m with EE for insurance and £100 excess.
Not done this before so any advice welcome.
Thanks in advance.

There are lots of options for phone insurance. You might find this useful
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid1 -
Most are straightforward however check if its new for old or indemnity based. Some get disappointed when their phone is written off and they get given a reconditioned replacement rather than a brand new phone or possibly worse still, they get given the cash value of a reconditioned not new phone.Cazzaroo said:My son's iPhone contract with EE is ready for an upgrade. If you have a packaged bank account check with them too as several offer mobile/gadget insurance as an option1 -
What sort of case, if any, has he had on previous phones? If it is an option there are some very robust cases out there which will minimise the risk of serious damage.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0
