Morning All

Thanks for the start Scarlet.

I started back at work yesterday, another in-service today then the children come back tomorrow, silly idea to start on a Friday if you ask me!

I'm in the middle of power washing the rather large deck out the back, just a bit more to do and I can put the oil on, just hoping it will stay dry for another couple of days. Had a bit of a delay as the pressure washer stopped working after only the second time it has been used but took it back and got a replacement with no questions asked so a great service.

Hoping all the poorlies are recovering and everyone is well. Take care. XX

Morning again, it's fine here.
Haven't your holidays gone quickly Camelot, the weeks fly over.

Sorry to read that your taking a break from posting Taff, hope you'll come back eventually.

We didn't go into Durham yesterday, it was dh's turn to feel a bit off,  he seems ok this morning though.

Don't know what's happening today, hope everyone else has a good day.

Morning. Thanks for the start @Scarlet. 

The sun was glorious yesterday, it's such a joy. Today we have both a yellow flood warning and an alert about thunderstorms. There's banks of low fog over the sea and land with no sign of sun behind it yet. I have an order to collect so may go up to the small town, I'll wait a bit before deciding. Meanwhile I have chicken breasts to poach and then shred. 

I hope that all are well.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET.  Hope you have both recovered from your one day lurgy now. 

The sun is shining and the sky is blue but, hopefully, not to be as warm as yesterday. We enjoyed our bus ride to Skipton, though it was a bit of a depleted market for some reason. I spotted a lovely floaty skirt in one shop having a half price sale. I decided it would be difficult to match up and left it. But whilst having lunch I couldn't stop thinking about it and said I was going to get it if still there later - and if it wasn't I would cry! Anyway it was my lucky day and it's now mine!  

The temps had ramped up a lot whilst having lunch and by then 33 deg! When the bus pulled in for our return trip the driver announced it was 40 deg inside the bus! Omg he wasn't wrong, it was worse than a sauna! And our little bus to bring us back up here wasn't much better. When I fell through the door I felt as though I would never be cool again.

Today I am going nowhere as I must play catch up on the putting away and washing of everything brought back from the caravan. And then see what plants I can salvage from the back garden.  And yet again the freezer needs a good sort out. It beats me how it gets into such a mess.

Morning all

Looks to be a nice sunny warm day today.  Being an early bird am noticing the mornings are slowly taking longer to brighten up.  Will soon be waking up in the dark :-(

DH is slowly recovering, appetite not quite back to normal yet though.

Nothing planned today apart from the permanent housework.

Bright start to the day but it’s slightly cooler in the mornings, should be sunny later on today

i am going to Matt’s  house this morning and we are going to have a walk and see his friends horses his mum will meet us there later and we will all have a cuppa under the trees, his mum is then taking one of her other sons ( who lives in London but it visiting for the day) out to lunch and Matt and I will watch a film or do some baking.

Either chilli and rice or sausages and mash for dinner tonight will see what we fancy later. No washing to do this morning so the wm can have the day off 😃

Taff we will be here when you feel ready to come back, look after yourself xx

I'm sitting in Chris and Crystal's garden. We arrived to look after Nate, they aren't up and the key is in the lock so we can't get in. No doubt there will be a mad panic when they do surface.

Morning everyone another hot one I don’t think I have anything left to wash beds towels throws mats clothes everything has been done talk about looking for work I’m mad . I’m off out to a cleaning job soon then I’m getting my eyebrows done straight after I always feel almost human when I’ve had them done . I’ve taken fish out for tonight well for me hubby is having fish fingers fish is far to exotic for him you couldn’t make it up but it’s nice and easy and I am starting to see a difference in the freezer it’s been stuffed far to full for to long . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all

I hate moaning about the weather but yesterday was really too much for me.   Thankfully there was some breeze late afternoon so outside was a bit more manageable. The van curtains drove me mad and I made several stupid but fortunately redeemable mistakes.  I will try and finish them today

Haven't had the best night and my arm has felt like pins and needles all night - must have trapped something somewhere. Off to walk Bdog very soon and then crack on with jobs - started washing curtains yesterday (they all say dry clean only but are only polyester mixes and absolutely fine on a cool wash with slow spin) and managed one full length pair.   Another pair that size and two regular sizes pairs to go!

Good morning 

Dull and cloudy out, but feels a little cooler. Yesterday was so hot, poor BD didn't know what to do with himself.

My delivery yesterday was a new air fryer. My old one had done 8 years loyal service and was showing its age, so today will be spent learning to use the new one. OH is off to the diy store, dont know if I'll go with him.

Dinner tonight will be what I  experiment with cooking in the af.
