Below is a calculation of my expenses. Could someone advise if this is straightforward something I could do my self? I have looked at the CGT government website and it says something about uploading supporting evidence does this have to be done?
Property purchase date 17 November 2017
Property exchange of contracts 24th July 2025
Property completion 24th July 2025
Property purchase price £121500
Property sale price £163000
Costs involved when buying house
Stamp duty £3658
Solicitor fee £450 + VAT = £540
Surveyor fee £385
Mortgage arrangement Brooker fee £199
When selling house
Estate agent fee £2000 + VAT = £2400
Solicitors fee £750 + VAT = £900
Indemnity insurance £60
EPC £50
Anti money laundering fee paid to estate agent £60
My income from 6th Aprill 2025 to 5th April 2026 £7280 from benefits0 -

Hopefully you'll get one or more responses from those more familiar with the calculation of CGT on residential property, but based on my limited understanding, I believe that pretty much all of those costs can be deducted from the gross gain - the HMRC CGT manual is a good place to start:

A bit of guidance ounce I have completed the online cgt how will I pay the amount. Also will HMRC confirm with me that they are happy with what I have paid?
Sorry new to all of this never done cgt before and don't think will ever need to do it again.
