Group nexus parking invoice

I have recieved a parking fine from group nexus for overstaying in a services car park for £100 reduced to £60 if paid in 14 days.  I had no idea there was restrictions until i got the letter the other day.  Do i need to pay this or can i ignore it.

Any help greatly appreciated

Peter

    Neither.

The best way to get it cancelled is plan A in the newbies thread in the Announcements at the top of the forum. Complaint to the MSA.

Thanks for the reply... is there a template letter to send or do i just write to the road chef contact email.. explaining that we used the services due to our child having travel sickness and stayed until they recovered not realising there was a time limit on the parking... thanks again

Yeah I'm having an absolute mare with this site..can I send the following to group nexus through thier online appeal section... any help appreciated

This is an appeal by the registered keeper - No driver details will be given. Please do NOT try the usual Group Nexus Trick of asking for driver details in order to get around the fact your NTK does not comply with POFA. As there is no keeper liability then liability cannot flow from the driver to the keeper and thus is an auto win @ POPLA. Please therefore cancel the notice or issue a POPLA code where you will auto withdraw

You can certainly try it,  especially if the NTK PCN letter did fail to comply with Pofa2012  ( check it  )

    But

As coupon mad clearly mentioned,  complaining about it to the MSA franchisee   ( Road Chef  ?  ) is top of your list as plan A

Plan B is your proposed keeper appeal to Group Nexus,  before the appeal deadline expires,  but that is likely to be rejected by GN, with a popla code

    Pardon? No!

Nobody here ever pays a private parking charge, all the time the rogue industry remains unregulated.
