Magnet Kitchen – Unfinished Installation & Section 75 Advice?

Hi all,
I’m dealing with a frustrating situation involving Magnet and could use some advice from others who’ve been through similar.
I purchased a kitchen from them on interest-free credit, but the installation is still incomplete despite repeated promises. Communication has been poor, and I’ve had to chase constantly for updates. To make things worse, one of the supplied appliances turned out to be faulty and potentially dangerous.
I’ve already sent formal complaint letters and am now preparing to escalate via a Section 75 claim. I’m trying to recover costs and push for accountability, but Magnet hasn’t been responsive so far at a branch or Head office level. They have taken to ignoring my phone calls and only pick up if a use a different number, emailing them is a wase of time.
Has anyone here successfully resolved issues with Magnet — either through their customer service or via Section 75? Any tips on how to get traction with their head office or escalate effectively would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

S75 will not get much in the way of accountability, as you are claiming against the finance provider.Life in the slow lane0

I dont know with Magnet but with several other of the national firms you only contract with them for the kitchen itself and you contract with an independent fitter from their network for install. This then causes a S75 issue because the supplier for the install is not the party you paid.
Did you pay with a credit card or are you assuming the interest free credit has S75 protection? Who provided the finance for the interest free? Have you checked it is a regulated loan, not all interest free credit is?0 -
Magnet credit is through Novuna, who are registered with the FCO.

Even if an organisation does regulated lending doesnt mean that all their lending is in the scope of the CCA in the same way as some companies sell both insurance and non-insurance warranties etc.0
