Withdrawl of facilities on booked holiday

Hi all just looking to see what my rights are? I have booked a holiday for my whole family 7 adults and 3 infants to Mexico next September it is a group of 3 hotels where you can use all 3 hotels facilities I have now been informed they will be withdrawing the use of one of the hotels and facilities and cutting the restaurants from 12 to 6 obviously this is quite a large withdrawl of services so we may look to change our hotel/destination am i entitled to a refund or do i have to accept this change

    Assuming this is a package holiday, you'd only be entitled to a refund if there was a significant change to a variety of characteristics including "the location, main features and, where applicable, tourist category of the accommodation under the rules of the country of destination", so in itself a reduction in number of choices may not qualify, but are there any important facilities that you won't now have access to at all, such as no swimming pools, etc?

    However, if you'd simply be looking to move to alternative accommodation, your package provider may be more amenable to that than a refund - have they given you any options in the notification?

    What specific facilities will you be losing by the change, apart from the number of restaurants (and 6 still seems a reasonable number to be going on with anyway,)
    What has the hotel that’s now not included for that the other two don’t?

    So we will be loosing the use of a quieter more child friendly pool and also the booking for restaurants is already an issue but this will make it worse as the other hotel can  still book use our facilities but we cannot use theirs one of the reasons for booking a hotel was a large number of restaurants and use of quieter pools with toddlers and not ones that have a bar in them . We have not been offered anything else just advised if we are not happy with the changes we need to call within 10 days

    The fact they have suggested to call them may mean they are open to negotiation. But until you speak to them you won't know what their position is.

    It will depend on whether they consider this a Significant change or not.
