118118 Money credit card application

I've been approved for a 118118 credit card and have tried completing the application online however it asks for your bank details to verify yourself. I have 3 bank accounts, starling, zopa and revolut and I have tried all 3 but every time I click verify it just clears the text boxes and says I need to enter them again.

Anyone else had issues with this? Could it be that you need a 'brick and mortar' bank account?

One of the world's most expensive credit cards; can you do yourself a favor and not apply for one?

The interest rate is irrelevant if you pay the balance in full. I have Aqua CC among others and it's better than many of them in some respects.

I have no idea, but did you try other browsers?

Yeah it's the only card I can get at the moment as I have a discharged IVA on my file. All my credit cards I have I pay off in full every month so the APR isn't really an issue to me.

Yeah I've tried chrome and Samsung browsers, I feel like it's a bug in their website

They are also ageist - won't accept applications for anybody 70 + years of age.

This isn't ageism, at least legally speaking, the firm is allowed to use financial justification (such as a potentially lower income of a pension) to exclude certain groups, just as SAGA could be seen to be ageist against the young. There is a specific exclusion for financial services in the Equality Act 2010, hence why they can limit mortgages to a maximum age and a maximum age for the term end.

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Do you have evidence to back up your broad statement?
In British English, it's spelt favour not favor - as you talking about the US market?

It's at the top with 49%, followed by Zable with 48.9%
Maybe not world's, but definitely UK's.

Many UK based subprime cards have multiple APR rates and some are above 50%
The commentator was talking about the world anyway...

My apologies, "worlds" was just hyperbole, I meant the UK, but I was brought up in the States and that shows in my spelling from time to time!
