Esa Contributions based - bank loan

Hi everyone

I am on Contributions Based ESA. I declare the small pension i have. I would like to borrow some from my bank for home improvements on top of my existing mortgage. Is that ok? I am on no mean teated benifits. Is that ok,

    Yes, no issue to benefits

If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

    No problem. A bank loan has no effect on contributions based ESA so you wouldn't be doing anything wrong by getting the loan and there is no need to declare it to the DWP.
