    I prefer it from a safety perspective and lack of drainage. If I wasn't in a first floor flat with it in the middle it might be different. The pulsacoil is allegedly lower running costs but that's outweighed by additional cost. 
    'Safety', possibly, in that having a cylinder under mains pressure carries a miniscule risk should all the standard safety features fail. 
    But the Plusacoil still needs 'drainage' for the top-up tank, which I presume has an overflow outlet. 
    I still don't get it. It's a stupidly-expensive, over-complex design, made to pretty mediocre standards when it lasts only a decade.
    The OP wouldn't even be on here if they'd fitted a SS Gledhill - and they'd have gone on holiday with the savings... :smile:
