Morning all.  Thanks for starting us off Gers and have a smooth journey

Well the patient is doing OK, very tired but I'm sure it's the general anaesthetic working it's way out of the system.

At least it's nice to be able to sit out in the garden during his recovery and the strong breeze yesterday kept us cool.  Nothing going on today so hope everyone has a good day x

morning Gers and all to follow. Today promises to be even hotter with 28/29 forecast. I'm not sorry to be heading home today as caravans are not the ideal place to be in a heatwave!  It's like being.in an oven.

I am expecting to go home to find the after effects of the storm at the beginning of last week and dreading what I might find. A garden full.of roof tiles would be the worst scenario! Dead plants I can cope with.

Now i must get all sorted before the heat builds, ready for the off later this afternoon. Have a good day folks and take care in the heat x x

I took dg d to Newcastle yesterday, she's a good little shopper ( especially when I'm paying!) Dd is coming to collect her today.

Not a lot going on today, to be honest I don't feel very well, nothing major, just slightly under the weather. I don't sleep well and I think it catches up with me at times.

Thoughts to the poorly and sad people. Take care folks.

It’s forecast to be 34C here this afternoon which is frankly ridiculous! Just about to take Bdog to the country park before he goes for a hair cut - chose the right day for him to loose his floof! It’ll be indoor jobs and crafts today - I vacuumed for an hour yesterday in between appointments and needed a cool shower after. 

Optician relieved me of some funds though my distance vision seems to have corrected itself and now I  need reading glasses! As expected the ENT appt was short and basically said that the level of smell/taste I have now is maybe all I’ll get.  

Take care all and do stay cool if you’re in the hot zone.

Morning everyone enjoy your trip Gers scarlet they are all good at spending other peoples money mine all think I’m only here to treat them . I’m off out to do a cleaning job and then I won’t be doing much else it’s got to be a hot one just waiting for washer to finish before I go I’ve got bedding in at least I know it will all dry . AA you will have one cool happy dog . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Hi everyone, TA, belated birthday wishes for DGD and fingers crossed her leg recovers well. Mehefin, fingers crossed for you too, it sounds positive though. Scarlet, feel better, I know what you mean though. Before menopause I used to have difficulty dropping off but once asleep that was it for the night, after menopause most nights I go to sleep quickly but then wake after 4 or 5 hours and that's it and that's not counting the nights I can't sleep at all! I got up and made a batch of granola before the family gets up. L and B went down to Bristol yesterday to see the progress on the new house, they're moving in next Thursday. Hopefully it will be ready, we'll go down with them and help while they get settled and then we have to come back to cat sit for Chris and Crystal. It's Nate's birthday party on Saturday (birthday not till 22nd) but will just be family and close friends I think, it will be nice having the cousins together one last time before the move. The house is still upside down with boxes and bags everywhere but I'm trying not to let it stress me too much, I'm just trying to enjoy my time with the children as much as possible. Have a good day.

Good morning 

Cloudy at present, but forecast to hit 32 today. Phew.

Well, the family have gone home, is it me or do they make children noisier now? Only joking, I know it's because our life is so peaceful now. Anyway, I've been manicured, had a face pack and had my make up done and tattooed. Also done baking and had an afternoon tea. I did have a respite on Wednesday when the family went to Alton Towers for the day. OH went as well but I chose to stay home to look after BD as it would have been too long to leave him. A good time was had by all, even OH. Lots of tears when it was time for them to go home, but they are talking about coming back up in October. 

Yesterday was spent getting straight and doing a shop, boy can those girls eat! I was glad of DDs contribution. I dont see much being done today except trying to stay cool. 

I hope everyone is keeping well, I will read back over the weeks posts and catch up on everyones news.

Morning all

Another hot and sunny day it’s due to get up above 30 deg today 🥵 although dd is sweltering in 40+ deg in Turkey so at least we are not that bad.

I have my two people coming today and we are off to the cinema which will at least be cooler, I can’t remember what we are going to see but it was a cartoon type of film. I must remember to collect our currency later this afternoon too.

Dinner tonight will be Fahitas I got some gf wraps so that will be a nice treat for OH,  I need to hang the washing before work and have a quick tidy.

Mum really enjoyed her trip out yesterday, next week we plan to go to a GC and Hobby craft which she loves.

I had a terrible night too 😩 I have trouble falling asleep sometimes until 4 ish in the morning and then wake up every hour or so. I’m glad we have an easy day today as I will be fit for nothing later.

Morning All

Quick one from me, I'm going to meet Gers as her car is going for a service near to me. It'll be good to catch up.

Lots done yesterday including making plum jam (it seems to have set a little too well!) and pickling some onions. Went over to friend's house for a chat with her work colleague too so a very pleasant afternoon.

I also get to sleep quickly but wake after a couple of hours and then can't bet back to sleep.

Last day of the holidays for me, went into work yesterday as I was nearby but got thrown out again as the janitor had taken his Mum for an appointment and the cleaners were going to a meeting. Not bothering today, it's too hot already!
