So following the claim form I’ve been sent I don’t return anything to that address?
Correct,  no paperwork,  everything on MCOL for the time being

Login and complete the AOS online for now,  to extend the deadline
Thanks so so much this is so helpful!

But you must then do the defence after that.  There will be nothing to prompt you and you don't wait.

This is really simple, we promise: the main 8 steps are in the Template Defence thread. But search the forum for Smart Parking DCB Legal threads so you can copy the extra stuff about the fact the POFA 2012 does not apply and they are stating an untruth in the POC.

I’m going to do this today, I extended it until the end of this week so will complete it now. Is it worth emailing the car park company too to see if they will shut it down their end or is that too late?

Ignore the private parking company,  they will do nothing and the claim will time out to a default Judgment if you fail to do what needs doing

The time for an early intervention and quick cancellation was when the first NTK PCN letter arrived,  one correctly worded email would have killed it off there and then, or a simple no landowner contract appeal to popla

Even if they did reply,  they would say that their lawyers are dealing with it and refer you to them,  that is the point in hiring lawyers,  they do the legal work on their clients behalf,  it's litigation  !

Stick to the advice given on here

Its 8 steps,  the defence template will need to be used and an extra paragraph inserted,  so probably around 11 paragraphs,  not 8  ( attention to detail is vital here,  or it will cost you   )

Is it right that after this part it will go to mediation and then maybe a hearing?

No, there are various steps in between,  a hearing has to be paid for,  so many are discontinued just before the hearing fee is due

  • I am writing in regard to the parking fine(s) which, according to your records, relate to an alleged offence dating back over four years. During the intervening period, I have changed my residential address and no longer possess the vehicle in question. I wish to note that the first correspondence I have received in relation to this matter was in June 2025. Given the significant passage of time, I am unable to recall the specific circumstances of the alleged contravention or identify who may have been driving the vehicle at that time.

^^ is this wording ok for paragraph/point 3?
