Return Request with Simple Delivery

So I have had a return request for an item that was sent using SD. Not a problem as Ebay is taking care of it and I don't have to do anything and I don't lose out.
But I am not happy that Ebay don't tell me the reason why the buyer has opened a request. Did it arrive broken (it was a delicate item)? Did I not describe it well? Did I get size wrong?
I have another similar item listed as well (only a small difference) so I am worried where I went wrong.
The buyer was a newbie - joined 3 months ago and feedback of 3.
I thought I would find out from Ebay chat what was wrong but I went round in circles with the bot who just wanted to know if I wanted to appeal the request! Of course I did not, so just left it!
But I wish Ebay would let us know the reason for return request.

Once the chat bot knows what this issue/item is you can just type “agent” in and the call back option will appear.
Don’t know if CS will know or be allowed to say what the buyer put in the comment box on the return but worth 5 minutes to ask if you have a similar item up for sale 🙂In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -

I recently experienced the same on eBay. Returns through Simple Delivery are very convenient for the buyer, but as a seller you hardly know the reason and it is frustrating0

I've not experienced but they may not know. I get returns on Amazon and some have detailed explanations and others don't..0
