Has the merger with Royalmail increased their prices , I normally pay £8.20 for 48hr and was able to drop it off at the depot but is now £10.80 with no option for a depot drop off - I send around 30 parcels a weeks so will take its toll .

They have looked to simplify their products and operations, presumably to reduce them competing with themselves and having to send two half full lorries to the same place but in principle this should reduce costs and whilst a reduction in price is probably unlikely it may avoid/reduce increases in prices. Obviously we are in a free market capitalist country so firms can cut costs and increase prices anyway but this is where competitive forces from rival couriers is supposed to ensure their pricing remains competitive.0 -

As you say, on paper it should cut their running costs and potentially save them money, I doubt those savings will be passed on in any price reductions.
I'm a bit sceptical that they're trying to get a profitable parcel delivery company to the detriment of letter delivery.
