By the way, I also wondered why the mobile phone contract I had was so expensive. My EE app was locked but after speaking to the fantastic man on the phone I realised that the 'tablet' I'd been sent was being charged for by a tenner a month . I never asked for it, and at no time did they say you can have this if you are happy with an extra tenner a month. I never would have agreed to that. The impression I'd got was that it was an incentive for staying with them. I know they said there was no charge for the tablet but nothing about using it. As it happens I never used it, and don't need it. Their CS man said that lots of others had fallen for this. When I checked the app there is no reference at all to a tablet and there was never a paper copy sent to me with this information. Luckily they have taken the tablet off my contract and refunded me for half the payments. Yet another example of deliberately misleading customers, especially older ones like me. Just retired so going to double double check and ask for EVERYTHING in writing.2
