I was involed in a minor accident while driving my sisters car as named driver
i clipped a wing mirror of a stationary car while driving
the damage was minor on both vehicles , dent on mirror housing on the  the sationary vehicle and dent on the mirror on sisters car

I have admited fault to the other driver and exchanged details

I have reported the accident to insurance company used by my sister using their website

My question is that do i also have to inform my own insurance company about this accident ?

I also would like to ask how this affect each others insurance since the renewal date for both of us are soon.

would this increase my sisters insurance renewal ? affect her no claims bonus
Would this affect my insurance I assume yes , would this affect my no claims bonus ?

thanks for your help

Yes, you need to inform your insurance company.

    Both premiums likely to increase.

Will only affect NCB if it's not protected.

The excess is paid on the policy where the claim is being made.

Not sure if you are suggesting it would affect both OP and sister's NCD but it will only affect sister's NCD assuming the claim is made under sister's policy.

Agree it will potentially affect pricing on both policies and OP may need to inform his insurance company immediately or upon renewal, depending upon what his insurance policy says.

Your sister's insurer are processing an at-fault claim under her policy. Yes, her NCB will be hit.

You need to tell your insurer at renewal when they ask about accidents or losses you've been involved in. Yes, your premium will undoubtedly rise.
You do not need to tell them until renewal.

In most cases this will be true but the OP should check their own policy book as there are exceptions that want to be informed immediately.

The question from the OP only referred to his sisters NCD. This was what I answered. I made no reference to the OP’s NCD.

    OP did ask

"Would this affect my insurance I assume yes , would this affect my no claims bonus ? "
