I dashed off yesterday morning because my shopping delivery had arrived, and didn't get back.
Yesterday was an ok day, dgd

Not much going on today, just the usual household stuff.
Hope your dh gets home today Chrisca.

Thoughts also to anyone else who is sad or not well.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers
Overcast this morning and there's been rain overnight but not windy. After me saying it was all calm yesterday the wind arrived again!
Lovely to have your DGD staying with you Scarlet.
Hope your DH gets home today Chrisca and his procedure went well.
After a busy morning at the allotments yesterday I ran out of steam and did nothing! Must try harder today. I'll go up to DDs to leave them some fresh fruit and veg for their return tomorrow. Also hoping to have a walk somewhere if the weather stays dry.
Hope everyone is well, are you ok Mehefin, haven't heard from you for a while. Take care. XX14 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. At last a day without that dratted wind blowing is forecast. Yesterday it got up as bad as ever and all the tubs and pots were blown over again. There's a conifer in a big pot which weighs a ton so a real struggle to get it upright again.
I might finally be able to enjoy the sunshine today and sit outside reading before the heatwave hits!
Thanks for the good wishes for DGD. She has always been the laziest of the girls so I think.she will.enjoy being waited on and doing nothing! I hope your DH gets the all clear to.get home today CHRISCA. Have a good day all x

Morning again - chores upstairs done and now with a coffee. The bull is back in the front field and 'talking' loudly.@Chrisca - fingers crossed for OH being allowed home today and I'm glad it all went well.@Scarlet - enjoy your DGD.@Izzy - the wind was bad here too.@Camelot - you're sounding more like Taff! The rain came and went yesterday, and when it came it chucked down huge amounts of water each time. Then the sun came out, repeating all day. I didn't go to the country show, the field would be mud. I wanted to see the heavy horses but maybe next year. I went out briefly to fuel my car and pick up the local paper, mind you, each time I buy I wonder why as it's mostly about what happened years ago and pages of adverts for farming equipment and cars. After rooting in the freezer I've found some liver so that's out defrosting for today, and probably tomorrow. I've got some Idahoan mash in the cupboard for 'emergency' use, today's the day!@TA - I hope that your DGD is in less pain with her ankle and made alternative plans for her birthday. @Scarlet - your stress levels must be so high, take care.Hugs to all.14

Morning everyone,
The wind has dropped here at last...I went outside and did a couple of hours tidying yesterday even though it was still very windy, I keep having to rescue all my pots too.
Little one came for tea on Friday and stayed overnight till lunchtime yesterday...we had a lazy morning playing games and drawing. She is enjoying all the photos eldest DD is sending from Japan. There was a video of DD on a little train with a Japanese lady making an announcement...little one 'knew' what she was saying - 'if you're leaving us at the next station please make sure you have all your bags and personal belongings.'
DD said it was a bit strange being the only Western person on the train.
She is loving her time in Japan and says it's one of her favourite places she's been. She's now at the airport in Osaka - which is built on an island in the sea...waiting for a flight to Saporro.
Another train fact - the seats can all be turned round, so everyone faces in the direction they're travelling...oh and there are male and female toilets on the train and they are spotlessly clean and a lot bigger than ours.
Right I'd best get moving...I've to go down to do dads email and then I might go and look for a couple of replacement plants before I come home.
TA shame about your granddaughters ankle, I hope she's not in too much pain.
Scarlet enjoy your DGDs company
Chrisca hope your husband gets home for a good sleep
Hope everyone has a good day x13 -
Morning all
I was fed up of being awake early and wasting the first hour or so of the day so took Bdog for a walk by the river - he went in! Then had to give him a hose down when we got back. He’s happy! Washing done and and pegged out; chicken marinading for BBQ this evening. There’s some garden jobs to do and try and beat the heat as well as feeding and watering the veggies.Chrisca - Hope DH managed to get home and get some sleep - hospitals are never good for that which is ironic given the sleep is such a great healer.TA - best wishes for DGd
Camelot - slow down 😀!
Gers - enjoy your liver. Idahoan potoaes?…..I know it’s the state that is known for potatoes but are they different? Differently prepared?
Happy Sunday all

Morning all, it's sunny here and set to be up to 24 degrees with very little breeze.
Yesterday I tackled some little jobs around the kitchen and cleaned the kettle, air fryer, water filter jug etc plus the cooker and worktops then had to go for a lie down and slept for 2 hrs !
Today one load of washing has been in the wm and hung out plus the bed stripped, I'll hang the bedding out when it's finished. I'll give the bedroom a once over before I re-make the bed. I found a hm steak and kidney pie in the freezer during my last foray to the bottom, so that'll be tea with roasties, veg and gravy.
Gers we also have Idahoan mash on standby, it's the only one I will eat, but there's nothing better than real mash.
Hugs to the poorly ones and anyone in need, the hug bucket is full, please help yourselves.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11
