E4 on sky?

I have just found out that I won't be able to watch Big Brother on C4, I am slightly gutted!

I've got a sky box, sky lead and dish and I watch tv through sky but I can't get C4 / E4 / C5 and some others but when I want to watch C4 I just switch to normal tv.

I do remember reading that if I get a sky card I can watch C4 but would I get C5 and E4? If so, could I just use any sky card or do I need to get one from Sky (could prob pick one up on Freecycle!?)

Why can't you get C4/E4? They are part of the basic package?

I don't have basic package, I don't pay anything for sky. Is it called freesat?!

cant you just switch over to freeview and watch it? Iam assuming u have freeview. I normally switch because i dont get them on sky

Its CH29 on freeview for E4, I just had to find it

Freesat and freeview aren't the same thing, albeit they are similiar, but E4 is one of the channels you can get on freeview but not on freesat, I assume it is a licensing issue but that's a guess.

I would have assumed the same thing, but strange you get Film 4 on FreeSat!

I have a digibox up-stairs with a card that I don't pay for as I had multi-room turned off a couple of years ago...and I can get C4 on it but not E4 as that's with a package...:D

You can get a freeview box, or subscribe to the basic Sky package.
More 4 and E4 are only available on subscription with Sky.

No brainer really, get a Freeview receiver sooner than adding more dosh to the Murdoch Empire..
