I have been getting a lot of spam recently and was browsing the emails on my phone, I accidentally caught the screen, which then started up the browser. I stopped it before it had time to load

It was a spam saying cloud storage is full and your account is locked.

The address is 4.check-point.nl/ with a lot of numbers after it. The email has self deleted but I have received several more today but from different addresses

Avast  virus/malware checker is saying nothing is amiss. Should I reset the phone to factory settings just to be safe?

Nope, your phone will be fine, however you will get a lot more spam now as they will recognise it is a valid email address. What email provider is it?

    1. Have you thought of changing your email address and using aliases?
    2. Using one email address important things like banking & another for unimportant things?
    3. Use one browser for important financial things & a different browser just general internet use?

If you restore phone to factory settings will not stop you getting spam email. That is your problem, get a good email server with a spam filter

Gmail's spam filter is very good indeed.

In fact, too good. Legitimate emails can end up in the spam folder even when you've flagged them as 'Not spam' which is pretty annoying.
