APCOA - late payment (correct day, wrong time) will I be fined?

Hi there
I can't seem to find an answer for this... I was picked up in London Luton Aiport by my partner, driving a works vehicle at 1:45am on Thurs 7th August and then totally forgot to make the payment (stupid of me but was feeling ill and still had to get up to work and so that made me more ill).
Anyway, I slept and woke up late today and remembered that I hadn't paid so logged onto the London Luton site and paid the £5. It still showed the date as payable, but not the timeslot.
My question is, will a fine still be issued or should I pre-empt and send the payment confirmation to an email address with some sort of letter to avoid a charge being issued in the first place?
Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

Not a fine, an invoice for alleged breach of contract.
Will you receive one? Probably. You can't stop them and anybody can post an invoice
to anyone else.
Technically it's not relevant land though, so they can't hold the keeper liable (you'd think that would be fraud, but nobody stops these cowboys). Search for other airport cases for instructions.4 -

1) My question is, will a fine still be issued
2) or should I pre-empt and send the payment confirmation to an email address with some sort of letter to avoid a charge being issued in the first place?
2) Definitely not
If a pcn arrives, appeal it using the airport template, as keeper, no blabbing about who was driving or about what happened3 -
Easy as pie to see off if you get a daft invoice.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
