Cannot get into Experian

Today I received an email from Experian saying that a new account had been added to my Credit report & I don't know anything about it. So I tried to log in to Experian, however I couldn't remember my password, so I asked for a link to change the password, however no link appeared in my email address, so I tried saying I couldn't access my email & another verification page popped up. When I completed the form, it didn't recognise the email address, strange as they send updates to that address, I was just going around in circles, can anybody please offer advice?

I also have an Experian account that I can’t access, even though my details are correct. Support takes a long time to respond, and it’s hard to manage my credit score without access. Has anyone else dealt with this issue?0

Ignore your fake score, just get the statutory report in the meantime (it's free) and check Credit Karma and Clear Score for free as most banks report to all lenders these daysAlliat said:I also have an Experian account that I can’t access, even though my details are correct. People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Whilst it's eminently sensible to keep an eye on your report to ensure there is no incorrect data being reported, there is little point in worrying about your score. Apart from the fact that there's only a small amount you can do to influence it, it is utterly meaningless and is not even visible to lenders.Alliat said:I also have an Experian account that I can’t access, even though my details are correct.
