How to contest a Parking Ticket -Parking Eye

If you acted in good faith and can show this, you should be able to contest a ticket. I got a ticket from PARKING EYE in Harrow Hall (Slough). I was quite surprised as I paid for parking but got a fine saying it was a permit-only area.

I went back and the signage is nowhere near the parking bays and not easy to read either (in smaller writing than rest of sign). This felt like a trick! So I contested and WON with following details:

1.Photographs of where I was parked showing no adjacent signage for permits
2.Reference to the reasonable motorist test
3.I acted in good faith and paid for a ticket (this will be on cameras/bank statement)

Parking Eye sent in their evidence, some old photos of where signage used to be. The BPA Code of Practice says operators must provide contemporaneous evidence that adequate signage was present and visible at the time of alleged contravention. The burden of proof was not met.

Hope this helps others.
Sometimes, signage is not clear-this is the responsibility of the Parking Organisation.
