    One of my dogs cannot walk on laminate, her legs go off in different directions which is terrifying for her. We have to take a rug with us if we visit homes with laminate.
    Dogs love a carpet.
    I found the same with vinyl flooring when the dog got a bit older and less steady on its feet.

    Yes, smooth vinyl also a problem. Weirdly she's fine on the porcelain tiles in our house even though she obviously won't be able to 'grip' them.
