Hilarious patronising trash, innit?!stingray751 said:I received a reply to my defence from Moorside Legal, citing my “unreasonable behaviour” by using internet-based templates which are “clearly not in your own words”, referring to the case of “Stamp & Ors v Capital Home Loans Ltd (t/a CHL Mortgages) & Ors [2024] EWHC 1092 (KB).” and that they will raise my “unreasonable conduct at Court, if a Claim is issued, to submit that you should be liable for our client’s costs.”
At least this confirms they’ve received my defence! 🙂PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, it’s ridiculous! Patronising and also slightly threatening too.My favourite quote in their email is “Such templates usually bear no relevance in matters like this one, and very rarely seek to resolve the dispute, rather they just frustrate the situation and serve to waste the time of the other party.”
I’ve wasted so much time over the last 2 years on this frustrating situation, so I’m very glad to have assistance from you in fighting these cowboys and their unethical practices! 👊3 -
No doubt the moor-ons will file and serve their usual template WS in due course.2

That’s a better way to speak to people than you usually choose. Perhaps you’re learning.Gr1pr said:Ignore them, study the 8 steps in the defence template thread in announcements near the top of the forum, first post0 -
An update on my saga with UKCPS and Moorside Legal. I had a mediation call the other day, where they said I should pay the full amount, which I refused as I am not liable. They lowered the request to £150 so I responded with a very generous offer of £1, which they also refused. So I was getting prepared for this to go to court, knowing it would be thrown out for many reasons.
Today I’m very glad to say I received a “notice of discontinuance” from Moorside Legal. 👊
And to add to this, a few weeks ago I got a PCN from Euro Car Parks for staying 5hrs 25mins when the max allowed was 5hrs, even though I spent £200+ watching a very long movie, having dinner etc. I appealed and included my receipts and also pointed out that they didn’t follow schedule 4 of POFA. They cancelled my ticket as a “gesture of goodwill”!So many thanks to everyone on this forum for the amazing support and confidence you give us to challenge these unfair PCNs and questionable parking and legal companies. Let’s keep fighting!
