3% fee BT on Virgin Credit Card

Hi,
I've been offered 0% interest 3% fee on an existing credit card with Virgin for 12 months, the limit is £17500  with zero balance.

Has anyone been offered any lower fees on BT credit cards, I don't seem to be getting any better offers at the moment.

I certainly got a 1% fee with Virgin Money about 8 months ago.

According to https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/balance-transfer-credit-cards/ there are a number offering 1% fee or less.

Thanks, we're you a new customer as I'm existing so maybe they save the best deals for new customers?

I looked at that link and I've already got tesco credit card but they never give me good BT deals.

Been a while since ive done a BT but the ones ive done previously, Tesco were always the lowest rates.

Personally I wouldn't be doing 3% for 12 months, id want at least 24 months for that to make it worthwhile.
  • Santander do a 0% fee balance transfer card for 15 months £3 per month card fee.

RBS do similar but I can't remember the length of offer

Virgin money do a 13 month one.

    Tesco does a 18 month .99% fee. So .66% annual .

Tesco also does a 34 month 3.45% transfer fee , 1.22% annual equivalent

Ulster bank also does a 34 month at 3.15%. 1.11% equivalent.

Hope that helps, I've been looking at my next BT card options of late.

I try to work out the fee per year for each card then I can rank them accordingly. Helps me work out the potential profit from each one.

Ive done the same previously, but also need to be mindful that the real rate is a bit higher than doing straight division as have to factor in the repayments. And there need to look for ones with 1% repayments rather than 2.5% ones
