Advice need - how to date a notice of transfer and deed of covenant

Options
Hi everyone,

I need some advice regarding the transfer of a leasehold property into my name, which I have inherited. Probate has been completed and I have filed an application for the transfer with land registry but we need a Notice of Transfer and Deed of Covenant from the management company of the property. I have the paperwork but the paperwork needs to be dated with the date of transfer. I do not know this date until Land registry completes the transfer, so I am left at a loss as to how to date the paperwork. The management company won't help me and I do not have solicitors involved in the transfer so they cannot seem to help either. Any advice would be appreciated.

The Land Registry don't date the transfer, they register it. So you need to put the date that the property was transferred - the date of the TR1 or AS1.

The date of the Transfer should be the date of completion
The Notice of Transfer and Deed of Covenant are between you and the Management Co and would be the same date or following on from the Transfer completion date
