Savings instant access

Options
Looking at other posts it seems the West Brom BS Four Access Saver Issue 3 now has the best rates for instant access?
Currently have savings with Chase but looking to move. I like chase as the customer service is good but need to try and get better savings rates.

Is there any known problems with West Brom like poor website, bad customer service, delayed transfers etc?

Are the current rates with West Brom taking into account recent rate reductions?

Is there any other options? Need instant access but not many withdrawls per year

I don't bother with a savings account.  All my cash is in my Kroo current account earning 2.9% interest. (well, I do have Premium Bonds too on the offchance I get lucky)
  • Sorry, can't help with West Brom.  Clearly, Chase is not the best for savings, neither is Kroo, unless interest income is not important.  I assume you have maxed your Cash ISA allowance for the year?  If not, worth considering.  If you withdraw cash, of course you cannot replace it tax-free, but unless you have more money to deposit before March, that's not really a loss.  On the other hand, if you don't need to withdraw in the short term, some tax free savings would carry forward to future tax years.

I believe WB is easy access, not instant.

if you want an instant one, Cahoot would be a good choice. You might also qualify for the short-term boosted Chip account.

I looked at Cahoot but thought it was a one year fixed term for the savings accounts? Im probably wrong though

Both, the Cahoot Simple Saver and the Cahoot Sunny Day Saver, are instant access. They both have variable rates lasting for 12 months. Have a look at the respective Summary Box info.

Cahoot Simple Saver currently pays 4.55% easy saver no limit on withdrawals compared with West Brom 4
Cahoot Sunny day saver 5% also easy saver but limited to £3000

The West Brom interest rate is bound to go down some time soon.
