so have just noted an email sent from DCB legal stating "Having reviewed the content of your defence, we write to inform you that our client intends to proceed with the claim" and have attached a N180 Quetionnaire. Offering settlement also.0

Standard stuff, as explained in the 8 steps in the defence template sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad, so please study the first 4 for now1

Hi, last year I followed the advice in this forum. I completed the various forms, completed the General Form Judgement in Nov - emailed, completed the N180.
Now in May without any previous notification a Judgement for Claimant and £300 added as a CCJ.
This is frustrating. How can a court behave this way - I had no hearing communicated, nothing.
Presumably I now need to challenge this by completing a N244. Any advice please.

Did you download the N180 DQ document and fill it in and attach it to the email, plus did you use the DQ email address for the CNBC in Northampton and did you receive the N180 auto response email back and still have it. ?
All the above is the recommended strategy for the N180 stage
Or
Did you take pictures or scans of the paper N180 DQ document. And email them instead ?
Post your MCOL claim history below Please
And edit your thread title to something more suitable like
DCB LEGAL, C P PLUS, update - default CCJ

Hi I completed the N180 Document, printed hard copy, scanned and sent via email twice to the dq.cnbc@justice.gov.uk. Once in Nov and again in Dec when they chase me on it. I have the automated email receipts.

FACTS
Sep HM Courts Tribunal Letter I acknowledge receipt of your defence.
Nov 25 - HM Courts Tribunal Letter N180 (dated 20 Oct). I completed emailed 7 Nov - received receipt
Dec 25 - received in post Form of Judgement chasing the above Directions Questionnaire - I responded with the above (again) - the Nov 25 questionnaire, via same email on 15 Dec, and again have a receipt.
Today, May received this Judgement for Claimant
so assume I complete N244 stating I have promptly and in good faith responded - with the email receipts.0 -
They dont like scanned documents, which is where I believe that its gone wrong, scanned documents are not on their approved list, only the paper document by return , or the downloaded pdf
You need to complain by email to claims progression and also to HMCTS as well, with proof of everything above
So complain, complain, not any set aside , their problem, they fix it, same as dozens of others last year

Yep you don't need a N244. Complain.
You should NEVER have scanned it. That's the issue here. They've ignored scans. Should have asked us first and followed the 8 steps.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I went into the moneyclaims account.
I noted in this the claim history states (edited out the exact dates)
Your defence was received on xx Sep 25
Case Stay Lifted on ZZZ 2025
DQ sent to you on ZZZ 2025
DQ filed by claimant on ZZZ 2025
General sanctions order was made on ZZZ 25
Defence was struck out on ZZZ 26
A judgment was issued against you on ZZZ 26
So I think this supports your view that they ignored my emailed (twice) N180.
