Octopus Tracker

First Anniversary First Post
Sorry to harp on about this, folks. I took the plunge yesterday and went back on the Octopus Tracker tariff, after 9 months away from it. I’m going to be brave this year, and stay on it through the winter. Might be a few expensive days here and there, but overall, I’m hoping to make a saving. If anyone has any thoughts, feel free to contribute.
Wish me luck. If it works out okay, I’ll probably stay on it all the time, cos it’s certainly a good tariff to be on at this time of the year.

I'm still on my Octopus fixed rate from last December.  If I find a cheaper fixed rate then I'll switch to it - because it is certainly cheaper. I wouldn't go for a tracker (energy deal or mortgage) because it's pot luck what you get

Still less than 5p for you!
4.59p for me today, rising to 5.11p tomorrow ... nevermind, it's still cheaper than any other gas tariff I've seen recently.

I concur, and 1 day is not a winter , no reason to worry.

Hmmm...at the moment our current fix is aligning pretty much exactly in price with Tracker - I went to look hoping that I would see a saving that would prompt me to be brave and jump, but nope, not at this stage! My guess is that this is at least in part due to Tracker now having a higher SC than we're currently paying, and, as yet, our gas use still being very low...
