APCOA Penalty Notice with Blue Badge

Here for some suggestions please.

I received a parking charge notice from APCOA for parking in my vehicle without a valid payment or permit at a University campus in Birmingham. Where I parked it was clearly marked as no parking charge for blue badge holders.

My wife is a blue badge holder as I am her primary carer and we have both our vehicles registerered on APCAO portal to avoid these types of issues especially for hospital visits etc.

I stupidly appealed the notice believing we had done nothing wrong and it was the right thing to do and it must be an error they made.I provided screen shots from their app including all vehicle details.

A few weeks later they emailed me and sent me a matching letter and asked me to send images of the blue badge by post within 14 days as my appeal did not justify the cancellation of the charge,  I did this immediatley. I thought this was odd as their portal contains images of the blue badge already.

It has now been more than 14 days without their response. I have emailed their complains line (tried calling but no one answers) asking for them to update me but have heard nothing yet.

I am concerned as now seeing these forum pages it seems like they are not particulary a very good company to deal with. I really dont want threats of fines and court action against my name.

Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

They have 35 days to decide to cancel or to issue a popla code 

Complain about it to the university , by email or in writing 

After that 35 days, Complain in writing using the Apcoa link on the BPA AOS members list on the BPA website

APCOA are one of the better ones IMHO. They should cancel the PCN. Patience. No paying!
