Buy it Now Query

Options
I've recently been experimenting with using Buy it Now rather than auction and it is working really well.

Ive noticed that some of my items have 'Interested Buyer' alongside them even if that item has no watchers. They also say to send an offer to those buyers.

Im just curious as to how these interested buyers appear. I cant see anywhere on any listing I look at to let the buyer know I am interested in the item. Is it just some Ebay algorithm that selects them or are they really buyers who are interested. I cant see why they any interested buyer would not be 'watching' the item.

I haven't tried sending offers as my items are listed at the least I would accept anyway but obviously if they do not move then I may have to rethink that.

How do they define an interested buyer?

I keep getting offers for things I've viewed but not watched - because I decided they weren't for me.  Maybe that's what they term an 'interested buyer'!

I just wonder how they define interested. An item can show 24 views and 3 interested. I dont send offers as I think if a buyer was interested they would just buy.

Oh that's weird.  I don't know then.  I open things in new tabs then go through the tabs comparing, maybe it's based on length of time of page view out something, even though quite often I close it as soon as I've read the description.  It would be quite disheartening if they defined 'interested' as 'read the description'!
