For insurance purposes ?
We have a 3rd Upvc multipoint lock hinged door - for accessibility purposes - with a platform and slope down to ground level....

If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.

If it's a single door, the same type as you'd have for your UPVC front door, then I don't think it counts as a patio door.  Patio doors are usually the sliding type which are arguably less secure.  but you could try phoning the company to check, or just state that it is a patio door, I doubt it will make a huge difference to the price

    In what context?

If you look at say confused.com for doing a quote they ask about the main door first, then  lump together patio, French and bifold doors as a second question and then ask after that about any additional doors that lead outside.

If its just a regular door that isnt the main door then I'd answer no to patio, French and bifold but yes to any additional doors. If it's a mainly glass door and part of or adjacent to a window then it sounds like French doors so in confused.com's questions its the second

There was a short debate on another thread recently.
Although the definitions are not fixed in stone, normally a patio door is one that slides open.
If a double door opens outwards they are French doors.

What the OP has is a rear entrance door.

Could be a side door or a front door

Its an additional (wide) side door - on to a platform - leading to an accessible slope to give wheelchair access to ground floor of property

So you've answered your own question, you'll have a main door and an "other door" to declare but not a patio door from what you say
