Peugeot 107 Mot Suspension Advisories
My daughters 2014 Peugeot 107 has just been through its MOT. It passed but had a number of advisories relating to the suspension relating to all four suspension arms (front and rear ns and os) and all state - arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement . Also rear suspension component corroded but not seriously weakened. It has done 55k miles and on the last MOT had done 51k and passed with no advisories. In fact the last 3 MOT's past with no advisories. The car drives fine with no noises or issues with steering/when braking.
How concerned should we be about these advisories and what is likely cost of repair (are we talking hundreds or 1k+).
Any info much appreciated.

Others will give an idea of likely cost but I would not be particularly worried about those items at the moment.
I wonder if the rear corrosion could just be cleaned and treated.1 -
As above. I have the Citroen C1 version (the same car) nothing to worry about.
Easy and cheap to replace when needed.1 -
The fronts sound like the mounting bushes and/or lower ball joints are starting to wear.
The wishbones/platforms are an easy fix. The parts are around £40 a side plus fitting and come with new bushes and ball joints.
The rear set up is a beam, swinging axle.
There's not much too it except the two large bushes that the axle swings on.
Around £40 for a pair of bushes but fitting can be a bit fiddly without the right tools to press them in and out.
It's common all these suspension parts rust.
They aren't painted like the cars body and road grit eventually chips the paint off and it all starts rusting.
It's common for this to be picked up by the MOT.
As it sounds like it's the rear that they have picked up with rust, I suspect it's either the rear beam that is rusting as water can get trapped around the lower spring seats or the springs are looking rusty.
Springs are around £40 - £50 a pair.
If it's the beam axle, a decent used beam is around £150, plus the new bushes, plus fitting.
I'd probably get it blasted and painted first. Only when really needed though.
Without seeing it it's hard to say what you need, but it's passed for another year.
I'd probably do the front wishbones/platforms first and get someone to check the rear, but I'd wait until the next MOT is due.

@fatbelly @david29dpo @Goudy thanks all for taking the time to reply. I think we'll just leave it for now and see what shows at the next MOT. She only does about 4-5k a year tootling around town.1

Keep an eye on how all the tyres wear, worn bushes tend to throw the tracking off a little.
Also keep an ear out for knocks and clonks.

I'd ask a trusted garage whether a bit of rustproofing is worth doing.
That should be cheap and quick
If so, it's best done in the summer
