Consumer Silencing by So Energy

Hi all,
Just wanted to raise a flag (pun intended) about something quite concerning I’ve been experiencing with So Energy and their use of Trustpilot.
I’ve had ongoing issues with So Energy, and have left honest, factual reviews about my experience on Trustpilot. However, they’ve now had all of my reviews removed — and have even gone so far as to accuse me of defamation, simply for sharing what actually happened. I’ve rewritten and reposted reviews multiple times because I anticipated they’d be taken down, and sure enough, they were — often within hours.
It feels like they’re actively monitoring Trustpilot and abusing the flagging system to silence negative feedback and maintain their “Excellent” rating, which they’re using heavily in their advertising.
It’s deeply frustrating that Trustpilot seems to be enabling this — especially when their score on other review platforms paints a completely different picture.
If this is happening to me, I can’t be the only one.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with So Energy or any other company on Trustpilot?
I’ve reported this to the CMA and ASA, as I believe it’s misleading to advertise a rating that’s been manipulated in this way.
Would love to hear if anyone else has had the same treatment — especially if you’ve had reviews removed, or flagged unfairly. Might be time to push for more scrutiny of how Trustpilot allows companies to manage their public image.

I've used trustpilot many time to leave factual reviews but not once have I had a review removed. Can you share what you said on trustpilot so that we can work out why it might have been removed?0

Putting a review on Trusrpilot doesn't mean you can say anything you want. Exact same as this forum, if you say something that MSE could face legal action over then it will be removed - it is the platform that can face legal action.
Depends what exactly you said.0 -
I suspect the comment from mark_d is on the ball. Perhaps there's something non-factual in your comments. I'd try rewriting it and seeing if that helps.0
