TESCO Bread won't work in my toaster!

I have recently discovered a burning sensation that I fear will set alarm bells ringing in my shared rented accomadation.

As I am on a spendthrift drive this year I have changed from Warburton's (woe is me) to TESCO value bread (It's the nearest supermarket)

I have discovered that I can no longer leave my Toaster to automatically pop as I surf away because of faulty bread.

Tesco value bread appears to have a habit of over curling/drying out and sticking in the toaster preventing the "pop"

Is my universe ending?:o

Does anybody else have a toast popping problem?

Perhaps Tesco bread is for Sandwich makers TOASTIES NOT TOAST?

Yep, that's why I've stuck with Warburtons

It may be suitable for home freezing but does it actually say suitable for toasting? :rotfl:

Tesco value bread is basically a little bit of flour, a LOT of salt and as much water as the dough can take - more water in the bread means that you need less flour to make up the weight of a loaf. However, this much water means that the bread will go doughy, curl up and will probably stick in the toaster - not much you can do about this, apart from spend a few pence more lol ... Or make your own, much tastier :)
