Morning everyone
It's still windy here...all my poor plants are bashed to pieces...I was out checking them yesterday and I think a couple might be beyond saving. It's no where near as bad as it was on Monday though.
Ruby I was so pleased to hear that Rob has an advocate and extra care now, you should be so proud of yourself for fighting for him.
I spoke to the physio at our doctors' surgery yesterday, and I now have an appointment for an xray this morning., just at our local hospital so nice and easy. She said it could be arthritis as not all types show up on blood tests, the doctor said it wasn't, so we'll see. I might have a look round the charity shops after my appointment, I haven't been in them for a while.
Allie I hope your mum is ok
Snoozer you'll be pleased when the packing is over but your house is going to be so quiet x
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all, well the weather is wall to wall sunshine this morning, hope it lasts.
Yesterday's trip for a cover didn't end well as all they had were much too big and twice the price so we'll order one online from To*sure. We decided to go to the range for a coffee and I treated myself to some more wooden pegs as the plastic ones keep breaking, I have expensive tastes !! Then we got a chippy lunch on the way home so no cooking last night.
Today the wm is on and I'll hang it out before we go to check on our van and then call in DD's for a coffee on the way home as they're going on holiday tomorrow on a cruise. I hope they have a lovely time and don't get seasick.
TA oh dear what a holiday you're having, you'll need another when you return. Hope it's a cheap boiler fix.
Gers shame about the rose, hope you can save it.
AA hope your DM is ok.
RedRuby good luck with Matt today.
Rosy good that you're able to step in and help. Where would the men be without us !
Camelot Glad you had a lovely day in Glasgow. Thankfully your plum tree will survive.
Izzy I want sausage casserole now you've mentioned it.
Hope everyone has a better day today.
nan xx

Morning all and thanks to @Gers (and @Scarlet) for today's start. The gusty winds from the last two days have subsided and today we're promised a bright and sunny day with just a moderate breeze and no rain. Looking good so far. Top temps around 21 deg. After that, we could be in for a spell of better weather for a few days - maybe summer hasn't deserted us just yet after all!
Such a shame hearing about the garden casualties, I hope they survive or can be propagated. Not having a garden, I don't have that problem but I sometimes worry about the various trees dotted about here and there, in particular an old willow tree outside my kitchen. Its branches were horizontal in the recent winds and it isn't unknown for them to sometimes break off. Fortunately it leans away from my property.
Some tools sorted out yesterday, to be continued today. Tbh, I'm not even sure what some of them are for! There's also two biscuit tins full of copper fittings that DH had accumulated over his working life - I'm thinking maybe scrap merchant. Tea tonight is a lightly dusted lemon & pepper fish fillet, peas & sweetcorn and strawberries for afters.
@AA - What a fraught afternoon for you, I hope your DM is OK.
@Ruby - Good luck this morning with Matt and his mum.
@Rosy - Mums may get older but we're always useful!
@TA - Fingers crossed the fixer man can do something with the boiler for you and that it doesn't cost the earth.
Right, back into the weird and wonderful world of tools! Have a good day all, healing wishes for the poorly ones and their loved ones. Take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.12
